Where Future Hit‑Makers Begin

Songwriting and music production workshops for children, teens and adults. Led by Sophie Hanlon, a professional songwriter, music producer, and educator with over 15 years of global industry and teaching experience.

created and run by an industry professional

I’m Sophie Hanlon, also known as Trophie - a UK raised, Sydney based songwriter, producer, performer and educator with 15 years of global industry experience. I’m a classically trained musician with over 15 years of teaching experience. I’ve performed everywhere from SXSW to DARK MOFO and worked as a professional songwriter with Universal Publishing (Berlin) and APRA AMCOS Australia. Through Trophie Productions, I bring real world industry expertise into dynamic, hands on songwriting and music production workshops that inspire and empower the next generation of creators.

A building block approach

I created the Trophie Productions program to fill a major gap in music education. Most curriculums ignore music production, even though modern songwriting and production go hand in hand. As a professional artist, producer and educator, I knew students needed both skills to create the kind of music they actually listen to.

That’s why I designed the building block approach. It’s accessible for total beginners and inspiring for experienced musicians.

Our workshops build confidence, spark creativity and encourage real collaboration, all through the lens of modern music making.

Our Services

Trophie Productions offers 2 or 3 day intensive workshops that dive into the building blocks of songwriting and production. Students learn how to shape chord progressions, craft memorable melodies, write compelling lyrics, and arrange their ideas in a studio‑grade DAW. By the final session, every participant walks away with a complete, ready‑to‑share track.
